Point of Pride is thrilled to announce that 144 recipients have been selected to receive gender-affirming hormone therapy support through the 2025 HRT Access Fund.
Each recipient will receive at least 12 months of comprehensive care, which includes telehealth visits with a trans-centered care team, lab work and monitoring four times per year with Uber vouchers for transportation, and full coverage of prescription costs.
Altogether, $233,000+ in financial assistance has been awarded. Recipients will also be eligible to apply for Renewal Awards, which can help cover future healthcare expenses.
There were a total of 1,324 applicants this cycle.
Reviewing these applications and choosing recipients is an incredibly challenging process, as our organization has limited funding, and every applicant is truly deserving of the care they need.
There were 144 recipients this cycle. In line with our guiding principle of equity, our grantmaking committee prioritized individuals living in states or facing circumstances where access to gender-affirming healthcare is limited or currently being challenged.
"Every year, we see just how transformative access to gender-affirming care can be. Our recipients remind us of the resilience and joy found within our community. We’re proud to stand alongside them, ensuring they have the healthcare resources they need to move forward with hope and dignity," says Tyler, Director of Programs.
"This program isn’t just about removing barriers to healthcare—it’s about opening doors. With access to hormone therapy, our recipients gain the freedom to live more fully and authentically, to dream bigger, and to show up in the world with greater safety and confidence," said Jeff Main, Executive Director and co-founder. "That ripple effect touches their families, friends, and even entire communities."

None of this would be possible without our generous donors, Community Grantmaking Fellows, volunteers, and supporters.
"To everyone who supports our mission, thank you. Your generosity—whether through giving, showing up, or sharing your talents—directly transforms lives," says Aydian Dowling, Chief Advancement Officer and co-founder.
Applications for the next cycle will be accepted online beginning summer 2026. If you or someone you know is interested in applying for support, please visit our program’s webpage to learn more.
If you'd like to support this life-saving work, you can chip in a donation of any size. Thank you for making our mission possible.
