Storytelling

We’ve created these easy-to-use printables to help you bring your fundraising to life! Each one features a real Point of Pride recipient.

  • Print the 4x6" image and trim to size.
  • Fold it in half so the photo faces outward and the recipient’s info is on the back.
  • Hold it up during your livestream to show your viewers an example of the trans lives your fundraiser supports.
  • Read the details on the back to share their story and inspire donations.

That’s it! This is a great way to show the impact of your efforts and connect your audience to the real people they’re helping.

Political speech

As a non-profit organization, Point of Pride must remain non-partisan, meaning we cannot endorse or oppose any specific political candidates or parties. We encourage you to please avoid political speech, mentioning politicians by name, etc.

Instead, please keep your content uplifting and mission-focused:

“You might have seen the executive order stating [X] came out today. This makes me feel [X] for our community.”

“Even when the news is heavy, I find comfort in knowing that organizations like Point of Pride exist to provide life-saving care and resources to those who need them most.”

"Every donation is a statement that trans people are loved, supported, and deserving of access to care—no matter what executive orders say or what challenges come our way."

If you do choose to mention specific politicians, parties, or legislative actions as part of your fundraising, we ask that you please include a verbal or written disclaimer such as:

"These views are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Point of Pride. I am fundraising to support their work providing access to gender-affirming care, which is essential for trans people’s well-being."
