Meet Art

Art (he/him) is a 26-year-old intersex trans man with an Indigenous gender identity seeking hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgery. He has faced many challenges in finding care, often at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities. While he has been saving for transition-related care, the immediate needs of food and housing often take priority over medical expenses.

Art is a longtime writer and theatrical performer with a strong love for the outdoors. He is also a vocal advocate in his community against domestic abuse and finds joy in attending Shabbat. Art is excited for gender-affirming care that will support his intersectional gender identity and help him live as his authentic self.
