Meet Nathan

Nathan (he/they) is a trans person living in Kentucky, where Medicaid does not cover HRT. Relying on SSI, Nathan receives $691.50 each month, after paying $471 toward rent, only $220 remains for all other expenses. Without a car, telehealth is the only realistic option, but the out-of-pocket costs make consistent access impossible.

For Nathan, support would mean finally being able to move forward with transition without sacrificing basic needs. “It would mean I could access the care I need and move forward with my transition,” they shared.
