Meet Ryan

Ryan (he/they) is an 18-year-old trans man working to offset the cost of HRT. While he had hoped to begin care earlier, unsupportive parents, the closure of the only local facility, and his own uncertainty made it impossible. Now, Ryan is ready to pursue the opportunity he was previously denied.

A passionate writer, Ryan dreams of becoming an author or game developer, and is currently studying to become a math teacher with the hope of making math feel less daunting for others.

“Receiving HRT will help the face I see in my head and the voice I hear in my mind become reality,” Ryan shared. “I want to be correctly gendered by strangers and feel more confident in myself.”
