Meet Sarah

Sarah (she/her) spent much of her adult life supporting her parents, working in family-run parcel businesses after college. When they retired, a friend helped her pursue new education and provided a place to live during her career transition. Yet, throughout these years, the weight of gender dysphoria lingered—becoming undeniable as she entered middle age, navigating chronic pain, job searching, and financial uncertainty.

With a background in IT and courier work, Sarah’s real passions lie in storytelling, philosophy, and games. She designs tabletop role-playing systems, debates philosophy with friends online, and once served as lead writer for an alternate reality game at a major convention. For her, beginning HRT is both exciting and a profound relief. “Even the knowledge that I’ve been lucky enough to receive this grant feels like the weight of the world has lifted. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m excited to finally discover the woman I’ve always dreamed of being,” she shared.
