Meet Shawn

Shawn (he/him) is a 39-year-old trans man who struggles to find local, affirming healthcare. He often encounters doctors who misgender him even after being told, and there are no nearby providers offering reliable gender-affirming care.

As a single parent of two, Shawn’s paycheck is consumed by rent and food each week, leaving no room for insurance or medication. Receiving 12 months of HRT support would remove a huge financial barrier and let him access the medical care he needs to feel like himself while continuing to provide for his kids. “I cannot afford insurance, let alone testosterone,” he shared.
