Jim Collins Foundation
Honoring the legacy of the Jim Collins Foundation and celebrating 15+ years of life-changing support for trans people.
Founded in 2008, the Jim Collins Foundation became the first U.S. nonprofit devoted exclusively to funding gender-affirming surgeries for trans people in need.
Over the next 15 years, it opened doors to affirming care, helping more than 50 people access life-changing surgery and establishing a powerful legacy of community care.
In 2025, the Jim Collins Foundation officially merged into Point of Pride, uniting two missions rooted in compassion, equity, and trans-led care.
This collective work has made gender-affirming surgery possible for a total of tk people.
“We knew firsthand how profoundly our lives changed once we could access gender-affirming surgery. That care did not just alter our bodies, it restored our sense of wholeness, dignity, and possibility. We founded the Jim Collins Foundation so others, regardless of financial means, could experience that same life-changing access to care.”
