Point of Pride Awards $233,000 to 144 Recipients Through 2025 HRT Access Fund

October 23, 2025

Point of Pride is proud to announce that 144 transgender and non-binary individuals have been selected to receive gender-affirming hormone therapy support through its 2025 HRT Access Fund. Together, these recipients will receive more than $233,000 in financial assistance—ensuring an entire year of life-saving care at no cost to them.

Each recipient will receive at least 12 months of comprehensive healthcare, including telehealth visits with a trans-centered care team, lab work and monitoring four times per year (with Uber vouchers for transportation), and full coverage of prescription costs. Recipients will also be eligible to apply for Renewal Awards, which help cover future healthcare expenses.

Key statistics from this year’s recipients:

  • Recipients ranged in age from 18 to 62 years old.
  • 56% of recipients are people of color
  • 64% of recipients are living with a disability or chronic illness
  • 65% of recipients have dealt with discrimination from a healthcare provider, either currently or in the past
  • 77% of recipients have dealt with homelessness/housing insecurity, either currently or in the past
  • 75% of recipients live in states considered high-risk for anti-trans legislation

"Every year, we see just how transformative access to gender-affirming care can be. Our recipients remind us of the resilience and joy found within our community. We’re proud to stand alongside them, ensuring they have the healthcare resources they need to move forward with hope and dignity," says Tyler, Director of Programs.

"This program isn’t just about removing barriers to healthcare—it’s about opening doors," said Jeff Main, Executive Director and co-founder of Point of Pride. "With access to hormone therapy, our recipients gain the freedom to live more fully and authentically, to dream bigger, and to show up in the world with greater safety and confidence. That ripple effect touches their families, friends, and even entire communities."

Applications for the next cycle of the HRT Access Fund will open in summer 2026. To learn more or to apply, visit Point of Pride’s website.
