She wants to feel more comfortable in her skin—able to step outside without needing to cover up due to facial hair growth, and wake up without the pain and irritation that comes from constant shaving. For Aqua, transitioning isn’t just about physical changes; it’s about finding happiness and peace in being her full self.

It's common for applicants to note issues with employment and public safety, particularly if their facial hair is dark or thick. Electrolysis and laser hair removal services are often deemed cosmetic and therefore not covered by health insurance plans.
