This Pride Month, Cuee—a Black trans recording artist and founder of the Cueetie Club—is partnering with Point of Pride to support access to gender-affirming care for trans and gender-diverse people.

He’s dedicating his Pride Month performances to support Point of Pride’s mission of providing life-saving gender-affirming healthcare to trans and gender-diverse people in need. Through music, joy, and community, Cuee is helping raise both awareness and essential funds to ensure trans folks everywhere can access the care they deserve.

This isn’t about rainbow stages or performative allyship. It’s a real dedication to community care, connection, and a commitment to showing up. Cueeties, this is for you. Cuee is uplifting his community and shining a spotlight on those who need support the most. If you’re about it, show up.

We’re also proud to be featuring Cuee’s brand new Pride anthem, “That Hoe”—a bold, playful, and celebratory track that’s already becoming a summer favorite.

We asked Cuee a few questions to learn more about what inspires him, what Pride means to him, and how he's showing up for his community this June.

"Your music radiates joy and confidence—what inspires your sound and message?"

C: My sound is rooted in fun, celebration, and joy. I come from survival, and so the energy I bring resonates with a lot of folks especially those who’ve had to fight just to feel seen. I make music that honors the highs and lows, but always finds its way back to light. Whether it’s a bass-heavy anthem, a vulnerable ballad or upbeat house hit, I want people to feel free when they hear my voice. There’s power in being unapologetically yourself, and that’s the heartbeat of everything I create.

"Why was it important to you to dedicate your Pride Month performances to supporting gender-affirming care?"

C: Pride Month is political and deeply personal. I actually got my top surgery on the last day of Pride a few years ago, and it changed my life. That experience gave me back my body, my confidence, and my joy. So this partnership with Point of Pride isn’t just symbolic, it’s full circle. I want others to experience that same freedom and affirmation. Supporting gender-affirming care is my way of paying it forward and making sure trans folks have access to the resources we deserve to thrive.

"What does “trans joy” look and feel like to you right now?"

C: Trans joy looks like full, vibrant expression on our own terms. It feels like showing up to the world in your truth, even when it’s hard. It’s dancing at a show, getting that haircut you always wanted, changing your name, or laughing with your chosen family. Right now, trans joy is louder than ever. And for me, it’s not just a feeling it’s a practice. Every day I choose joy is a protest against a system that wants to see us erased.

"As a Black trans artist, how do you navigate holding space for celebration and resistance at the same time?"

C: Being Black and trans means I live at the intersections of my identities and am aware that I am perceived as such. I’ve learned how to turn my art into joy and my voice into vision. Celebration isn’t separate from resistance, it is resistance. When I take the stage, I bring my ancestors with me, my community with me, and my truth with me. I’m not performing for approval, I’m performing for my healing and freedom to be.

"Tell us about your new track “That Hoe!” What’s the vibe, and what do you hope people take from it this Pride season?"

C: “That Hoe” is bold, bouncy, and built for both the dance floor and the healing process. It’s a track rooted in letting go of the things, and people that no longer serve us. It’s about reclaiming your peace, your confidence, and your energy, one beat at a time. The hook is catchy, the flow is fun, and the spirit of it is pure empowerment. This Pride, I hope people blast it while getting dressed, while walking out of something toxic, or while stepping into their full, unbothered selves. A true Pride anthem anyone can get with. ‘Cause at the end of the day, you get to choose who stays—and that hoe gotta go.
